clear. the colonoscopy today showed no growths. we are estatic. he is beyond relieved. dr. said that he now just has to wait for the genetic blood testing to come back to find out if don has a gene predisposing him for this cancer. if he does, it means that he will have to have a colonoscopy once a year probably for the rest of his life, {small price to pay} and that austen will need to be tested to see if he carries that gene also. if he does, he will need to have colonoscopies starting at age 25. all of don's siblings and first cousins will also have to be tested for this. now hopefully don can live his life without worry. he will have to be tested periodically with ct scans and ca blood levels (which can indicated cancer if elevated). we are so happy.
