nature is incredible....

i sometimes cannot grasp the beauty of nature. these flowers from my yard are a perfect example. this rose bush grows up the side of the bay window in my kitchen. i think i will have don plant one of these roses on the other side of the bay window so the entrance into the kitchen is surrounded as they grow up to the roof.

the clematis shown here trails up the copper arbor that dad made for us. each of the kids have one of dad's handmade pieces of art. it is special, not only because dad made it but because shannon and jason were married under it two years ago in their backyard wedding here.


this gorgeous piece of nature sits in a pot next to my driveway. just look at those colors. yellow, purple, orange and brown...simply stunning.






i have always loved lilacs. if i could, my home would be surrounded by them. we planted a row of these lilacs between our home and our neighbor's house. while they are not huge and bushy yet, they smell fabulous. too bad they are so short lived. more flowers to follow as they bloom :)
